peachfront<p>i just started reading John Grisham's Framed, and it will come as no surprise to most of you that the folks doing the "framing" were cops, what DID shock me were the reasons cops framed these men they didn't even know</p><p>i can KINDA grok the evil-doer who invented the pseudo science of bite marks, he made millions doing it, but often the cops destroyed these lives for no reason except to hurry up &amp; clear a case...</p><p>chilling...</p><p><a href="https://toot.community/tags/JohnGrisham" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>JohnGrisham</span></a> <a href="https://toot.community/tags/InnocenceProject" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>InnocenceProject</span></a> <a href="https://toot.community/tags/PoliceState" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>PoliceState</span></a> <a href="https://toot.community/tags/USPolitics" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>USPolitics</span></a> <a href="https://toot.community/tags/bookstodon" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>bookstodon</span></a></p>
Jeremy Thomas<p>Laughably implausible but entertaining, and it's not like I come to John Grisham-based stories for believability anyway. My ★★★½ review of Runaway Jury (2003) on Letterboxd: <a href="https://boxd.it/7W760j" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="">boxd.it/7W760j</span><span class="invisible"></span></a> <a href="https://social.horrorhub.club/tags/RunawayJury" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>RunawayJury</span></a> <a href="https://social.horrorhub.club/tags/JohnGrisham" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>JohnGrisham</span></a> <a href="https://social.horrorhub.club/tags/Letterboxd" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Letterboxd</span></a></p>
Swede’s Photographs<p>Camino Ghosts</p><p>I just finished reading this book, Comino Ghosts, by John Grisham. It is part of sort of a series that consists of Comino Island, Camino Winds, and this third book. The books mostly share the same characters. Of the three books, this one is my favorite it, Grisham combines the story of an author, the writer Mercer from Camino Island, with his traditional court room drama, which is what he does best. </p><p><a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/books" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>books</span></a> <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/JohnGrisham" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>JohnGrisham</span></a></p>
David Brent 📚<p>For no particular reason, I had The Rooster Bar by John Grisham on my TBR and started reading it this week. I don't normally go for "airport books," but this one is a ton of fun. Now I remember why I read over a dozen of Grisham's books in the 90s and early 2000s. It's been a while since I picked him up... almost a couple decades, but I'm glad I did again.</p><p>FTR, The Rooster Bar has nothing to do with chickens. 😉 </p><p><a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Books" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Books</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/FridayReads" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>FridayReads</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Bookstodon" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Bookstodon</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Fiction" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Fiction</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/JohnGrisham" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>JohnGrisham</span></a> <span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://a.gup.pe/u/bookstodon" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@<span>bookstodon</span></a></span></p>
