#Adhd so yeah been struggling with executive function. Need to pack up my room to move. Told myself I was going to get it done today, finally started moving went through some stuff, but then I couldn’t remember where I had hid the keys to the safe. cause they don’t have their spot anymore. Totally derailed me. Couldn’t pack cause the safe has all my “documents” and what if I accidentally packed the keys? ARGH. So no more packing today. Have so many rooms to do. ARGH but I found them!

Scientists led by a team from the University of Copenhagen in Denmark have found a "strong link" between Western-style diets and neurodevelopmental conditions, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). The researchers' analysis also "identifies specific nutrients and foods that could serve as the foundation for improved dietary guidelines and preventative strategies," says food scientist David Horner. So now I’m in an airbrushing rabbit hole: do I work with the gas bottles? Do I buy a cheap compressor from AliExpress? But I already have a battery-powered handheld compressor. Do I get a small tank I can fill with it? Does that even exist? I’ll need adapters. Do I continue with the diluted acrylic lacquer or do I try Amsterdam acrylic inks?

I hate my brain sometimes. Is that typical of ADHD oe something?

'I am' and 'have' changes how we relate (and what makes grammatical sense) to our autism/neurodivergent/ADHD like:

I am autistic
I have autism
I'm ADHD
I have ADHD
I am neurodivergent
I have neurodivergent

Or
I'm AuDHD
I have AuDHD

Which ones do you use the most to describe yourself?

I use:

I'm autistic
I'm ADHD
I'm neurodivergent

AuDHD is harder to explain what it means so I just say "I'm autistic and ADHD"

This is just a curious question to see what others use. 🙂

Neurodivergent people have always been there (we just weren't 'looking' before)

theneuroscienceofeverydaylife.

The idea that the neurodiversity is a 'recent development' and hasn't been shaping all of human society forever is as wrong as it is unhelpful
