This is a Sunday greeting. I hope you have a bright, sunny day today. Or maybe it will be overcast and a bit gray. I saw this sun medallion on a patched exterior wall in a Flagstaff alley this last summer.

I'm unsure if this will show up very well in the browser. The size is much larger than I like to share, but the smaller size makes it look like there is no focus. And, as usual, I have a nice bright Mac display 27" with great contrast, so for me, it's not too dark. Hmmm, but maybe for you? I'm interested in your comments, but please do mention what browser and computer/mobile device you are seeing this with. Thanks!

Serial #Arizona MAGA loser #KariLake, Trump's appointee to run #VOA, is now completely gutting the entire parent agency #USAGM & mass firing all employees without Senate confirmation. VOA was originally created by Congress to promote Free Speech countering Nazi Propaganda during WWII, so it's easy to see why #musk's #swasticar bought #Trump admin is desperate to shut it down.

Battered by cuts & firings, VA employees describe serving veterans under ‘invisible cloud of dread’ tucsonsentinel.com/nationworld
Over the past month, the VA has cut 2,400 positions and plans to slash more than 70,000 - and while the department has promised the firings will not harm veterans or their care, VA employees across the country said the cuts and a climate of fear are already hurting veterans.

COVID stole a parent from more than 200,000 children. Indian Country lost the most. tucsonsentinel.com/nationworld
2,000 Indigenous children in the Navajo Nation lost a parent or caregiver to COVID-19, according to one analysis - yet that number doesn’t convey the grief that continues to reverberate at the five-year COVID anniversary.

Sen. Bernie Sanders and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez are hitting the road this coming week for Sanders's 'Fighting Oligarchy' tour, which is focused on "the takeover of the national government by billionaires and large corporations."

Events will take place in #Nevada, #Arizona, and #Colorado.

What the escalating trade wars mean for your grocery bill tucsonsentinel.com/nationworld
Life these days is expensive, and President Donald Trump’s latest trade decisions aren’t likely to help the situation. The pendulum-like nature of Trump’s trade policies almost certainly means higher grocery store prices.

#ApacheStronghold: U.S. Give-Away would Destroy Spiritual Home of #Apache

By Wendsler Nosie, Apache Stronghold, March 13, 2025, via #CensoredNews

"In the heart of #TontoNationalForest in #Arizona lies a place that my people, the #WesternApache, still hold above all others. This place is Chi'chil Biłdagoteel, also known as Oak Flat. To us, it is more than a stretch of land; it is sacred and holy. It is where our ancestors walked, where we gather to pray, to carry out ceremonies passed down through generations, and to speak to our Creator.

"This land is part of who we are as a people, and its spirit is bound to our own.
Now, the federal government plans to give our sacred Oak Flat to a multinational #mining #corporation owned by the Chinese Communist Party. This will not just scar the land; it will destroy it, poisoning the environment and trampling on our tribal rights. But the deepest wound will be the loss of our spiritual home, a place our people cannot exist without. We are fighting this in the courts, all the way to the #USSupremeCourt. But this is about more than law and policy—this is about survival of our way of life and the spirit of this sacred land.
